A seven part, half-hour television series, “Funky Squad” celebrated the cop show genre of the ‘70s. From wardrobe and hairstyles, to music and hotted up Mustangs, the series faithfully and tastelessly recreated television of the era.

It’s “Mod Squad” meets “Starsky and Hutch”.

Unconvincing punch-ups, under-budgeted car chases, cliched crooks and overstated attempts at being “hip” were all part of the “Funky Squad” formula.
